We believe that our young people are our greatest natural resource, and that their education is the cornerstone of a strong and successful nation.

2007/2008 President’s Volunteer Service Award Recipients

Founded in 2003 to recognize, reward, and showcase youth, we have contributed thousands in scholarships and prizes to California’s outstanding youth.

Governed by a Board of Directors, its members are comprised of leaders from the areas of Business, Education, Civic and Service Organizations, Entertainment, and Law. It is further supported by an outstanding and dedicated group of volunteers who organize the many special events and activities leading up to a particular event. They devote countless hours of their time and talent, on a non-profit basis. Not one member of our organization is paid, we are all volunteers!

A committee on ethics, standards and practices meet annually to insure that the objectives of the program are carried out in a professional manner. Further, the committee evaluates itself to assess the goals and objectives of the program and the proper dispensation of duties for volunteers. The Committee on Ethics, Standards and Practices serves as a viable voice in the ongoing development of special programs that are scholarship oriented.

Budgetary factors already impede the progress of our youth, by the slashing of various classes, programs and activities across our state. It is our strong belief that private citizens and organizations need to step in and lend support when possible. By providing our young citizens with activities through which they can learn and grow, we also provide them with an opportunity to seek scholarships to aid in their higher education, so that they can pursue their dreams and achieve their career goals. Our organization is founded on these principles, and will continue to uphold the finest principals of equality, fair play and professionalism in the dispensation of our duties.
